Materials: syntetic paper, polyethylene
Dimensions: cm. ø 42 x 23
Lamp composed by flat shapes of cut syntetic paper. Two simple sets of joints are used to put together the modules and assemble the lamp. The final shape is the result of a serie of experiments with paper sculptures, whose geometries have been later shifted into planar cuttable elements. By assembling the singular modules, the structure gains tension and completely self support, easily resisting to strikes. Thanks to the lightness of the material and the geometric shape of the holes, nice light patterns are created. Despite its geometrical structure, the use of computer software had a marginal role in the design of the lamp, whence the name Quasisenza (almost without).
