A small domestic space that concentrates the main kitchen functions: a countertop, an electric hob, and a sink. The central core, a void reminiscent of the archetype of a well and a fireplace, hosts the faucets and wastewater system.

This project reinterprets the symbolic value of the mess hall of the USCSS Nostromo, the cargo spaceship from the film Alien (1979), a place where everyday functions intertwine with dynamics of tension and vulnerability.

Rather than reproducing the film’s aesthetic, the project translates its imagery into a domestic device that challenges the idea of the kitchen as a reassuring space, transforming it into a place of aggregation and discussion, but also of dependence, transformation, and metamorphosis.
